7-Session Parent Workshop
Presentations
READY, SET, NOW HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Getting started – it’s often the hardest part for some kids, especially when they are challenged with ADHD /Executive Function Issues. Through understanding the process involved with task initiation, and addressing some potential obstacles, this workshop will provide tools for helping students begin their work and achieve greater success.
STUDENT GOAL SETTING: THE HOW AND WHY FOR PARENTS & EDUCATORS
Students, especially those with ADHD/Executive Function Challenges often have dreams and desires, but no concrete plan to make these wishes a reality. Setting meaningful goals is an impactful way for students to develop and improve Self-Regulation skills. In addition, research shows that when students set goals and work toward them, not only do they perform better, but they experience less stress and anxiety and they are happier and more satisfied with their lives. This webinar will help students, parents, and educators to know and to teach both the value and the process of setting in addition to monitoring and achieving their goals. Participants will gain specific strategies for engagement in meaningful conversations around goal setting, establish a process for choosing realistic goals, and setting the pathway for planning and monitoring the goals.
